We here at Cheers POS are really excited to share this with you today! A liquor store we know uses the TSP100 Star Printer and at least one worker there LOVES it!! We thought we would share this with you in case you are in the need for a receipt printer. (It works great with the Cheers Point of Sale System!)
What makes this printer so great is how easy it is to load the paper -- just drop it in, pull the paper through the only opening, close the door and go. So simple. It takes very little time, allowing the cashier to get back to ringing up customers.

We could not pass this up and we could not pass on passing it along! This sounded way too fun (and after looking up rules and regulations for the past two days, we couldn't say, 'no,' to a cocktail recipe!). We hope this helps some of you out with a gathering (or an evening)!

Today on Facebook we Liked the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association (http://www.nabca.org/) which came into existence in 1938, after prohibition. The NABCA represents the Control State Systems - jurisdictions that directly control the distribution and sale of alcoholic beverages within their borders. There are eighteen (18) control states (counting on the map on their page: http://www.nabca.org/States/States.aspx); Kansas is not one of them.
What does, "Control State," mean? According to the same page, "They control the sale of distilled spirits and, in some cases, wine through government agencies at the wholesale level. Thirteen of those jurisdiction also exercise control over retail sales for off-premises consumption; either through government-operated package stores or designated agents."
Please note that these states are all along the political board; the, "Control States," are both blue & red; one side is not monopolizing this; since we love looking for obvious answers and patterns, this surprised us.
What does the NABCA do? "Headquartered in the Washington, D.C. area, NABCA serves its members by providing research, analytics and alcohol regulatory information, and acts as liaison to federal, state and local governments, research groups, public health associations, the media and other organizations impacting alcohol policy." We have said it before and we will say it again: what are the alcohol laws regarding your state? It may be complicated. Check with your state.
